Kerala is completely computerized. General public can know certain details
directly from this department by sending sms. This facility is available in this department for the last 2
years. The details that can be obtained by sending sms from your mobile phone
and their formats are furnished below.
To know the details of a particular vehicle
For this
purpose sms has to be send to the number 53725/53752 in the format mvd v (vehicle no.)
Example: mvd v

The details
like vehicle No, office where the vehicle is included at present, class of
vehicle , maker’s name, colour of the vehicle, details of payment of tax,
details of financier etc. will be received as sms immediately.
To know the details of registration
numbers that can be reserved for
For this

like name of office, the date which relates to the information, the range of numbers
that can be reserved, the series of the present running number and the amount
of fee that is to be paid for reserving the number office will be received as sms immediately
To know the vehicle tax due for a vehicle
For this
purpose sms has to be send to the number 53725/53752 in the format mvd t (vehicle no.)
Example: mvd t

The details
like vehicle No, the present office where the vehicle is included, the period
for which tax has been remitted or the period for which tax has to be paid and
the amount of tax paid/to be paid etc. will be received as sms immediately.
To know the present position of the
application filed before STA, Trivandrum

ReplyDeleteMy Name has been changed as per Gazette notification. My driving licese is in my former name and it has been lost irrecoverably. The expiry date of my license is over as on 3rd July 2013. How can I get my duplicate licese renewable with my changed name?
As your present license has been lost you will have to apply for a duplicate license. Please go through my article regarding this subject published in this site. When you apply for duplicate license give another application in plain paper requesting to change your name giving attested copy of gazette notification. You will get duplicate license in the new name.
