Sir,I have lost my original RC book.I do not have any loan on the vehicle. The vehicle is registered at Trivandrum. Can you please tell me the formalities for a duplicate RC book.My email Id is sanpnr@gmail.com Thank you
ReplyDeleteThe first thing to do on losing registration certificate is to intimate the matter to the nearest police station where the loss has taken place. They will conduct a preliminary inquiry about the matter and a letter to this effect will be issued by them. With this letter you can go to an akshya kendra and file application online. After filing the online application take a print out of the application and submit it direct to the office where the vehicle is included ( enclose the police report also). They will issue a matter for publishing in a daily. Get it published in the daily and appear for a personal hearing after 30 days with a copy of the daily. The concerned officer will hear you and verify the genuineness of the application. If satisfied he will issue a duplicate registration certificate.
